This publication has not published a correction. That is a statement about how new the site is, not a claim to have got everything right, and this page exists so that the first correction has somewhere to go on the day it is needed.

What we correct

Any figure that is wrong, out of date for the plan year it is printed under, or attributed to a government page that does not say it, measured against the rules on our standards page. Any statement about what Medicare covers, what it costs, or what a reader is entitled to, that a reader could act on and be worse off for.

How we correct it

On the record. The article is fixed and the correction is listed here with what the article originally said, what it says now, and the date it changed. A sentence is rewritten rather than deleted wherever rewriting it is possible, so that the record shows what was there.

Nothing is corrected silently. An error quietly edited out is an error a reader who acted on it never finds out about, and on a page about what somebody pays for health coverage that is the reader who most needed to know.
